You know you’re a wanderluster when…

Are you a wanderluster? Is travelling in your DNA? If you have been bitten by the travel bug and have a severe case of wanderlust, here are a few things you might relate to.

You know you're a wanderluster when...

  • Your geography subject knowledge deserves an A+
  • You already know the next 10 places you’re going to visit
  • You’re planning your next vacation while in the middle of the current one

  • You’re having a dull day and then someone mentions the words ‘trip’, ‘travel’, ‘vacation’ or ‘holiday’, and suddenly your mood lights up
  • People often ask you to create their itineraries for them because you’ve perfected the skill
  • Your food starts looking like countries’ maps to you
Is it me or does my fried fish look like the map of Brazil?

  • Your main purpose of having a job and earning money is so that you can travel some more
  • People often tell you to ‘settle down’ and you have no idea what they mean!
  • People say ‘didn’t you just go on a vacation’ when you tell them you’re going on a vacation
  • You spend most of your time in anticipation of the next trip you’re planning to take

  • When someone tells you that they don’t really like travelling and you look at them like they are from another planet
  • The first question people ask you when they meet you is “so where are you off to next”?
  • Your passport looks like it has survived a natural disaster
  • Your daydreams are often made up of you braving the Inca Trail or sipping a Piña colada on the white sandy beaches of Barbados

  • People call you to say hello and start by asking “so where exactly are you today?”
  • You’ve spent so much time looking at the world map that you can draw it with your eyes closed
  • Your fridge looks like this

What do you think? Are there any signs I have missed? Please feel free to leave your comments below and let me know your opinion.

My fridge looks exactly the same but I had to make space because my boyfriend said it’s too much! I identify with so many things on this list, not quite the food matching the country!

Super cool post!!! and I have the same fridge hahaha. I buy one for each city I go to!! Also, “When someone tells you that they don’t really like travelling and you look at them like they are from another planet” that is so true!!!!

Haha I LOVED this! I definitely have the wanderlust, but it sounds like you have it far more than me. One point I relate to 100% is “You’re planning your next vacation while in the middle of the current one”. We always do this!!! Your food looking like a country was hilarious by the way! Awesome post!

I love this – So many of these are so true for me – People call you to say hello and start by asking “so where exactly are you today?” has happened to me so many times, even close friends of mine will message me asking where I am and follow up with “Amit I just can’t keep up with you” haha – Lovely post here Medha 😀

We’re not totally overtaken by the travel bug here. But we do go on some kind of vacation every year just because. This post made me giggle. Great humor!

I can only relate to less than half of this. I am disappointed! haha but my number one on this list is people coming to me asking for travel advice or help with travel itinerary.

This is so me – I’m guilty of most of these, if not all of them. I’ve booked flights to another country while sat waiting to take off, and I often book flights just because they’re cheap! X

Love this! Definitely dream of travel and different destinations I want to visit and of course start planning the next trip before I’ve completed the first! Love all of these. I work to travel!

I feel like I work to make money so that I can travel again. We actually plan a lot of our trips while on current trips, at least the big trips. We planned out safari while on a 3 month trip to Europe. I really enjoyed this post. Thank you!
