This is officially my new fav camping and adventur

This is officially my new fav camping and adventure place in the UAE! @fujairahadventurepark

We spent this weekend doing our fav thing in winter - barbecue and overnight camping with our family. Here’s what I loved about this new place -

1. Dedicated chalets overlooking the lake can be booked for the whole family at 500dhs per night, for upto 4 adults.
2. Barbecue grill and fire pit is provided. You can get your own marinated meats or buy from there. Same with wood fire for the bonfire
3. There’s a cafe onsite but bring your own (adult) beverages as you can’t find those for sale. The cafe only opens at 12 pm so arrange for your breakfast
4. It’s pet friendly!
5. The chalets have solar powered lights. Just carry your own tents and sleeping bags
6. Shared toilet facilities are available!
7. Spend the morning doing the activities at the park (paid separately) - biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and the largest swing in the Middle East!

Perfect way to spend a weekend with friends or family, and your fur baby, before the winter ends.

Taking the aerial cable car to Table Mountain in Cape Town is the #1 thing to do when you’re there. Here’s what you need to know before you go -

1. Table Mountain cable car isn’t far from the city. The best way to get there is either take an Uber (only rely on Ubers while you’re in South Africa) or rent a car (driving is easy and comfortable in the country)
2. Book your tickets beforehand else you’ll be in a queue for hours! Even after booking your tickets, if you’re there during peak hours, be ready to queue up in the heat. Carry your sunblock, lots of water, sunglasses and hats
3. Choose either early morning or late evening hours for the best experience. Afternoons can get hot and sunny, and crowded too, depending on which month you’re traveling in
4. There’s a restaurant with beautiful views from the terrace but has self service and can get crowded so queue up as soon as you reach the top or you’ll miss finding a good spot
5. The cable car is weather dependent; which before you go if it’s operating!
6. Take a walk around the entire path from the west to the east, the views are unique and excellent throughout! Keep at least 3-4 hrs on hand when you visit Table Mountain
7. For the extremely adventurous, there’s an option to hike to the top but it’s grueling and doesn’t offer the gorgeous views that the aerial cableway does! Choose wisely 😉
8. Lastly, it can get windy and cold at the top. Always be prepared to carry an extra layer, just in case.
